Plymouth Portrait Photography Project 2026
People of Plymouth is my 2026 portrait project in Plymouth.
I’m photographing as many local people as possible. Simple, honest portraits. Right in the city centre.
Sessions happen on Saturdays and Sundays. You’ll get several high quality photos as a thank you.
Plymouth Portrait Photography Project 2026
People of Plymouth is my Plymouth portrait photography project for 2026. The goal is simple. I want to photograph as many real Plymouth people as I can.
It’s relaxed and friendly. No modelling experience needed. Just you, as you are.
What is People of Plymouth?
This is a year long portrait project based in Plymouth. I’ll be creating a growing gallery of faces from the city.
Some people will come solo. Some will bring friends and family. Either is fine.
If you take part, you’ll get several high quality digital photos as a thank you. Proper images you can actually use.
Where and when it happens
Sessions take place in Plymouth city centre or up on the Hoe.
I’m doing these on weekends. Saturdays and Sundays only.
Each session is quick, usually no longer than a few minutes.
What you get
You’ll get a small set of edited, high resolution portraits. Clean, sharp, and properly finished.
They’re yours to keep. Use them for socials, profiles, family, whatever you like.
All I ask is that you are aware I will be using the images in a large format photobook, at the end of the year to celebrate the people of Plymouth.
Stories of Plymouth
I would also love to have any interesting facts or stories you have about living in Plymouth. These may then be published alongside your pictures.
What to expect on the day
We’ll meet, say hi, and take a quick walk to a nearby spot. Then we’ll shoot a few different looks in a short burst.
I’ll guide you on posing. Little changes make a big difference. Chin, shoulders, hands, all that stuff.
If you’re nervous, that’s normal. Most people are at first. It settles fast.
Who can take part
Anyone from Plymouth, or with a real link to Plymouth. Live here, work here, grew up here, it all counts.
If you’re under 18, you’ll need a parent or guardian with you. I’ll also need consent in writing. Simple, but important.
Take Part
Pick a weekend day that suits you, sessions are always held on the last weekend of the month. Then send me a message to book a slot.
Tell me:
- Your name
- Your preferred day (Saturday or Sunday)
- A rough time window that works
- Anything stories you would like published with your picture
I’ll reply as soon as I can to setup the shoot.

What if it rains?
